Visiting storyteller for Toddler's Reading Session - January and February

The Old Library is Dubai's leading English Language Lending Library with over 1500 family and individual members. It is a non-profit organisation which is run entirely by volunteers as a service to the Dubai community. The Library is part of the Dubai Community Theatre and Art Centre (DUCTAC) which is located at the Mall of the Emirates on Sheikh Zayed Road in Al Barsha. The Library has a collection of over 17,000 books with well stocked specialist sections for Children, Teenagers, Adult Fiction, General Reference and the Middle East. New books are purchased every month for both the Children's and Adult sections of the Library. The library also offers a toddler's reading session, and secondhand books for sale.

Normal Operating Hours Have Resumed We are pleased to announce that the rostering problems created by the Mall of the Emirates parking situation have been resolved and we have resumed normal operating hours - 10 am to 6 pm daily (except Fridays and public holidays). Toddler Storytime Story time for toddlers at the Old Library has resumed for 2010. We are fortunate to have a very special guest visiting us from Canada for the next two months.  Summi the Storyteller will entertain children, and parents alike, with her wonderful tales of adventure. Summi uses props and musical instruments to enhance her stories, reciting original tales from the many places she has visited.
