During the DUCTAC 10th Anniversay Fair, Urban Sketchers took advantage of the Library’s extended Friday hours to sketch. Over a period of three hours, the group used their notable creativity and talent to draw scenes in the Old Library from new and unusual perspectives. Look for some of their work around the Library!

The Old Library was pleased to participate in DUCTAC’s 10th anniversary celebrations. The fair, held November 18th and 19th, was a success for DUCTAC and the Library both as people from all over Dubai came to participate in the festivities. The live performances, art demonstrations, market, and food stalls created an energetic and cheery atmosphere.
The Old Library, usually closed on Fridays, remained open for the entire event and members took advantage of the extended hours to read between performances. Librarians manning the table outside shared information about membership and sold hundreds of second hand books to eager readers.
The Old Library extends its thanks to the volunteers who made this weekend possible.
